At the Longmont YMCA We offer something for everybody from the very young to older adults.
What a great way to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body - why not start today!

Land and Water Fitness Classes are ongoing and require no registration. Please see the schedules under Adult Fitness for a complete listing of class offerings. All other classes run on a 6 or 7-week session and require pre-registration. Members have priority registration that begins 3-4 weeks prior to the session start date.

Youth Recreational Sports
We offer soccer, flag football, softball and basketball for youth, pre-K to 5th grade. Children learn skill, teamwork and good sportsmanship in our noncompetitive leagues. See the Youth Programs link to the left for more.

Wellness Classes
Healthy Back Clinics, Walk Reebok, Food for Health and Fitness, and monthly wellness lectures create the lineup for our premiere wellness classes. See the Adult Programs link to the left for more.

Adult Fitness Classes
Yoga teaches stretches that keep the body toned and flexible. Get F.I.T. is a 12-week program designed for beginners and/or individuals who need motivation and direction. Computerized Personal Fitness Assessments, Body Composition and Personal Training round out our Fitness Dept. services. See the Adult Programs link to the left for more.

Self Defense Classes
In Jujitsu and Karate students learn kicks, blocks and punches to develop self-defense skills, self-control and discipline. Classes offered to everyone ages 8 and up. These classes are a great way for parents to spend quality time with the kids and yet learn a valuable skill. See the Adult and Youth Programs links to the left for more.

 

Youth Fitness Classes
For ages 3-6 we offer Huff, Puff and Tumble and Gym and Swim to start kids off on a lifetime of fitness. Cheerleading is offered for 1st through 5th grades. For teens 10 and up who are interested in strength training we have Youth Weight Training and the Teen Weight Training Club. See the Youth Programs link to the left for more.

Specialty Classes
Learn lifesaving skills in our CPR and 1st aid courses. CPR is offered to adults, teens and health care providers. Teens 12 and up can learn important skills in the American Red Cross Baby-sitting class. See the Family Programs link to the left for more.

Y-Pals
Is a birthday, Christmas, and Easter celebration for children in need. An excellent opportunity for individuals or groups to volunteer their time and talents making these holidays special for our community's children. See the Preschool and Youth Programs links to the left for more.

SilverSneakers® Programs
Muscular conditioning Land and aquatic programs for Older Adults. See the Senior Programs link to the left for more.
