Annual Scholarship Campaign Goes Over Goal!

In early 2010, more than 60 volunteers stepped forward to help help local, low income kids stay safe, strong and part of a sharing community.

The results of their dedicated hard work are in.

The Scholarship Campaign received $96,845 in donations from individuals and local businesses, far exceeding the initial community goal of $72,000! More than 400 individuals and families made gifts to fund scholarships, a number that included185 new supporters.

These funds are being put to work to make YMCA programs available for hundreds of low-income children and families in our community.

“We rely on our donors so that the YMCA can continue to play a critical role in supporting our community’s overall health and well-being,” said Tony Shockency, Chief Executive Officer of the Ed & Ruth Lehman YMCA.
