  • Youth 8 - 9 years old must be accompanied by and within arms’ reach of a parent/ guardian in the facility OR participate in a Longmont YMCA sponsored program such as Child Watch, Swim Lessons, Youth in Action, Open Swim, or Open Gym.

  • Youth age 7 and under may not be in fitness classes, on cardio equipment, upstairs, on the track, or in the weight room for safety reasons. With parental supervision, children 7 and under may utilize open swim, open gym, and racquetball courts. Childwatch is the safest area for all children under 7.

Need a safe place for your children ages 0 – 12 while you focus on
 your wellness routine?

Our childcare services are offered on a first come first served basis as space is limited. Play, socialization, computers, and art are only some of the wonderful activities available! (We reserve the right to refuse admittance based on illness.)

Childwatch is available for up to 2 hours in a day and is free for members as long as the children are members as well. Parents must stay on the Longmont YMCA premises while children are in Childwatch.

Youth In Action

Monday – Friday 5:30PM – 8PM

This free program for youth ages 7 – 13 is designed to keep kids active and develop friendships within our Y. We spend an hour doing something creative like art, music, science, and cooking, then an hour keeping fit through sports and games. Sign your child up at the front desk and let them enjoy the Y in their own way while you work out!
